Dry method to remove old finishes on the wood. Using commercial equipment combined with corn cob or glass media and high pressure to remove any stains or paints on the logs and the wood.
Rustic or smooth finishes.
Grinding (Osborn brushes or fiber discs)
After do the blasting is necessary to grinding the logs to remove waste, wood residues and to prepare the wood before staining, if you want a rustic finish we recommended to do this second process using Osborn Brushes but if you prefer a smooth finish on the logs we recommended use a fiber disc 60 grit.
Borate wood preservatives
Borates are effective for preventing and eliminating wood decay and wood destroying insect infestations in exterior and interior wood members.
We recommended use a coat on all the wood cleaned and dried.
Staining
We like to use the most high quality products from wood experts to guarantee the coating on your logs. You can pick between water or oil based stains and clear coating to have an extra protection on the wood for years.

Log Caulking
Some of the log cracks starts on the exterior of the house and goes all away into the house and it is a perfect site for insects to try to go inside of your home. We recommended to seal any exterior log crack who is crossing into the house to prevent any "tiny guests" or air leaks inside your home and deteriorating the wood.
Log Chinking
Most log homes are structures where the logs are the only material who is the interior and exterior layers of your house; is very important to have very sealed the intersections between logs and all the horizontal lines where logs are spliced, if not you can have an extra costs on electricity with very cold temperatures inside due the air leaks. Log chinking is the best method to keep this areas very sealed.
